Hi, I am Marisol. Welcome!
I strive to empower my clients to make informed and impactful decisions.
I will walk with you through the celebrations of life and death, taking care of the details so that you may cherish the memories.
I endeavor to deeply listen to your wishes, desires and fears, and provide you with caring and effective legal counsel during times of transition.
I first honed and developed these skills as a crisis counselor for White Bird Clinic and as a case manager for at-risk families in the foothills of Appalachia. In my work, I discovered many families were impacted by a host of legal issues. I developed a curriculum in collaboration with the local Legal Aid aimed at supporting and educating families about their rights and responsibilities. My experiences propelled me into law school and I devoted my life to empowering myself with knowledge of the law.
I've learned to form not-for-profit corporations, worked with a tax law firm's private foundations, assisted clients in forming their own foundations inside their estate plans, and eventually specialized as an estate planning/administration attorney. I melded my counseling background with my legal expertise and affirmed my strengths as an empathic and active listener. In 2010, I launched my own legal practice utilizing my holistic approach to law to support and guide clients through times of transition.
A bit more about me.
Yoga is the way I ground and center myself in an often turbulent world. Using my skills as a yoga instructor, I will guide and assist you in cultivating a sense of calm and purpose within your estate and corporate planning, allowing you to show up as yourself in the outside world.
As a volunteer of White Bird Clinic, I currently assist in the coordination of a multidisciplinary medical and mental health response team at community events, where we endeavor to deliver patient-centered, safe, high quality health care with a harm-reduction philosophy. Using my skills as a former case manager/crisis counselor, I will guide you through the challenging moments that may arise.
As an actor in Playback Theater, I get to share intimately with someone's deepest moment of vulnerability and share my own. In the playback forum, we celebrate stories by bringing to life cherished memories through deep and creative witnessing. Using my skills as an active listener, I strive to hear the heart of your story and translate that to your legacy planning.
